Polly St. George (a.k.a “Amazing Polly”) is a researcher I grew to respect over the last two years and have relied on aspects of her work in some of my posts, including the piece on ARC and my upcoming piece on controlled opposition (to be published this week).

Therefore, I find this quite disappointing and especially the post that resulted in this response by her.

Polly posted another Tweet voicing her concerns about

(which she is obviously completely entitled to have) and I then replied with this:

This single reply ‘earned’ me a block and it appears Polly deleted, or has made the Tweet I replied to hidden, as I can’t see it on her profile even when viewing it while logged out.

Do you think my reply was inappropriate in any way (genuine question)?

If not, should I be concerned about Polly herself? What do you think?
