Netanyahu’s office has just released an official statement that an agreement has been reached on a hostage and prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.
The first Israeli hostages will indeed be released ON SUNDAY as previously reported (just in time for Trump’s inauguration the following day).
Israel’s public broadcaster Kan is reporting that Netanyahu called a meeting of the security cabinet on Friday (at an unspecified local time) followed immediately by a meeting of the entire government to formally ratify the agreement.
Following pressure by both the United States and Qatar, Israel and Hamas agreed on the names of the 110 Palestinian Prisoners “with blood on their hands” that will be released in this deal in exchange for 9 injured and sick Israeli hostages.
It says that the families of all the hostages have been notified as well and the IDF has been ordered to complete all the final preparations from their end.
Finally, it has also been reported that the Israeli negotiation team has now left the Qatari capital Doha as the negotiations are now considered to be officially concluded.
