My original claim to internet fame was pointing out the shocking decline in key changes in popular songs. As a few years have passed, I decided to revisit the original piece to see if things have changed.
Political science lit suggests Trump won because voters were mad at the incumbent party for poor economic performance from 2021-2024. We will get to see whether that same principle applies to 2026, 2028. So far, sociotropic voting appears to be holding, with Trump underwater by ~10 on the economy.
Because I can't resist poking the bear - should people really hate the Studio Ghibli AI art as much as they do?
No other topic I write about seems to get people as mad as the AI art discourse.

If this info wasn’t classified, that in itself would be a scandalous screw-up that must be explained.
And if it was classified, then the Trump administration lied to Congress and to the American people.

This is a sad comment on the facts of the situation. The amount of force to destroy the bases near Israel is there, but at what cost? Diplomacy may work if only because Hezbollah does not want to suffer any sort of injury such as Gaza has.
