What do folks think of the Substack WORST BOYFRIEND EVER? Guy has 1.6K subscribers and is writing some pretty hairy stuff regarding girls/women. My first reaction was shock, then disgust. Buuuut….it’s also “interesting” in the sense of it being very Gen Z; it’s a sadistic (but probably sadly fairly typical) wormhole into the Gen Z mindset. You know, rough sex, choking, etc. I can understand and even relate to some of it. I dunno though, man. Felt like some of it is questionable. Look: He is and should be allowed to write whatever he wants. He claims on his profile it’s “fiction.” Feels pretty damn real. Then again much of my stuff is fiction and feels very real. (Some is, some isn’t.)

Tightrope. Free speech. What do people think? In no way would I want this guy’s stuff removed or blocked or taken down. But: Kinda feels scuzzy. Then yet again: I have a past pre-sobriety and it wasn’t always pretty. We’re all human here, driven by genes and environment and biology.

And yet…
