Basis Set Ventures has announced the close of its fourth fund at $250 million, reinforcing its focus on backing founders at the earliest stages, often before categories are defined and market consensus forms.

The firm was founded in 2017 and is led by Lan Xuezhao who positions the platform around long term conviction rather than narrative driven investing.
