There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from walking into a room full of hope and realising within twenty minutes that no one thought about why you were there.

The tables are round. The food is small. The speaker presents slides you could have read in a PDF. Someone hands you a name badge.

And then you are expected to network.

This is not networking. This is tired, lazy, and disrespectful to the women who've invested time to be there.
