NONE of my successes would have come without adversities…
Honestly for me it’s about HONORING those adversities.
Most people would rather forget about the hard stuff because those memories are less “fun”.
Honoring them makes me appreciate the successes that much more.
And I personally feel it’s far more authentic to share the difficulties and the successes and to give them EQUAL time.
Everyone likes to celebrate the wins…people are drawn to that because it’s easy to do.
No one wants to talk about what it took to get there because it’s harder to do and doesn’t feel as good.
I do both.
Always have.
Always will.
When I accomplish my health journey…and I will…and people say “You look great. What did you do?” They want the easy answer so they can believe they can do it quickly too.
And I’m going to say “It took 30+ years of consistent exercise, doctors who failed me, never giving up, finding out I had a chronic condition (maybe two), a friend who recommended testosterone, and me working every single day through decades to get there.”
People don’t want to hear that story because it’s hard.
But I’m not going to compromise my FULL experience to placate their comfort zones.
