The faux profundity that spews forth from Mike Solana is beyond parody. This man is absolutely convinced that his immediate life experience, his position in the world of risk capital and the extractive attention economy, gives him special dispensation to speak with normative authority. The way in which he centers X/Twitter as a central feature of freedom from authoritarianism is pathetic.
His pathos is only matched by his stupidity—and exceeded by those who would entertain the empty notion that what Mr. Solana has done here is construct a sequence of words approaching something resembling a point.
