—Another Purdue women’s basketball player plans to enter the transfer portal. Kiki Smith is the latest, joining Lana McCarthy, Kendall Puryear, and Nya Smith. Before becoming unglued, how many players from a 13-17 team do you want back? Think about it. This isn’t to say the players that are leaving aren’t talented, but it’s been clear this program needs a massive roster upgrade if it’s going to move up the Big Ten standings. It’s up to Katie Gearlds to bring a roster together that escapes the league’s basement.
—The four No. 1 seeds advanced to the Women’s Final Four. No surprise. UConn, UCLA, Texas, and South Carolina are the four best teams in the nation. Let those four figure it out this weekend in Phoenix.
