Occupy the present moment as much as possible.
The present is where you can find peace. When you dwell on the future, you often experience anxiety about what could happen to you. When you dwell on the past, you may feel depressed about what once happened to you.
Self leadership looks like focusing on what you can control: the current moment.
Develop mindfulness practices to ground yourself in the present and practice gratitude for the ways you are currently safe.
