Logged out Twitter for the last time today, it definitely feels good. I don’t think I’m really going to use these notes unless there’s a good reason, because the dopamine treadmill is a huge part of why I left. If I’m gonna get likes and restacks at least let me earn it with longform content.
It turns out that I’m really not all that great at the art of promoting myself.

Went to my first meet-up last night. I expected lots of conversation about old characters, favorite episodes, why everyone likes Katie better than Jesse, etc but people most talked about normal stuff.

A part of us cannot sentimentalize death. We cannot love the destruction of a human being. With grace death can become something holy and good. Yet such grace is only offered because without it, death is something quite horrible. And it’s okay to hate that kind of death.
