Milinko Mile Vasiljević (MileVoiceOver) is a professional voice actor, journalist, and audio producer from Loznica. Discover his life story about media, art, and voice.
My name is Milinko Mile Vasiljević, but many recognize me by the brand MileVoiceOver. My story begins on March 18, 1981, in Loznica, in the heart of Podrinje, while my roots are deeply planted in the fragrant gardens of Runjani. From those early days until today, my life path has been an unusual intertwining of craft, the art of speech, and a constant desire to breathe life into words.
From first cassette recorder recordings to a professional microphone
My empathy for living beings led me far from the sharp edge of craftsmanship, straight to the microphone. Even as a boy, fascinated by the magic of sound, I recorded improvised shows on a cassette recorder, imitating voices and dreaming of big radio studios. That dream became a reality in 2001 when I stepped into Radio Podrinje. Under the watchful eye of my mentor Ljiljana Tešmanović, I began to refine my expression, realizing that the voice is the most powerful tool we possess.
Media career: More than two decades of trust
My professional development was shaped by the discipline I acquired as a junior sergeant in the Military Police, but also by the creative fervor at local stations such as Naj Radio and Radio Oma. Since 2009, I have become the face of Lotel Media Group. As a TV presenter for “Lotel Dnevnik” and author of shows like “Mala radionica,” I learned that media is not just about transmitting information, but also a bridge of trust with people.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of conducting interviews with the biggest stars in the region, such as Svetlana Ceca Ražnatović, and also being the voice behind thousands of advertising campaigns. My passion for documenting culture also resulted in the project “Golden Chronology of Concerts in Loznica,” which preserves the musical history of our region.
Mission: When words come alive
As a voice-over artist, I believe that voice has the power to heal and educate. Through the project “When words come alive,” I interpret works by classics such as Mika Antić, Desanka Maksimović, Sergey Yesenin, Pablo Neruda, and contemporary authors such as Igor Marković, Stefan Simić, and many others. I am especially proud of the humanitarian dimension of this work – adapting literature for the blind and visually impaired, for whom my audio recordings open new worlds.
In addition, through the brand “Miletov Zagrljaj” (Mile's Hug) and roles like Santa Claus, I strive to bring joy into the lives of the youngest, believing that a smile is the most valuable currency.
Peace in the garden of Runjani: Harmony of nature and work
When the studio lights go out, I find peace in my native village. My garden in Runjani, inspired by Japanese aesthetics and precision, is my personal temple. Pruning conifers and caring for plants are a form of meditation and balance for me, which allows me to approach each new project with fresh energy and peace.
