Though now, the sun is going down—though now time is passing and we are moving toward death both physically and perhaps even spiritually—yet on the horizon, “at the brown brink eastwards,” the new day and the new life are coming, and hope “springs.” Why? Because the Holy Spirit yet “broods” over the “bent / world.”
