What are we really looking for when we chase something new?

I got a new console recently. When it arrived, that first moment felt unfamiliar. Slightly off. Like my hands weren’t entirely sure what to do yet.

I didn’t need it. Nothing was missing. I just wanted something new.

And it made me wonder: are we chasing the system itself… or the feeling that comes with it?
