If you’ve ever spent time in northern Wisconsin, you’ll understand the purpose of this shirt! It’s hands-down the best $19 I’ve ever spent. We had hoods up and skin covered to ward off the mosquitoes whenever we were at the campsite or in any woods - pretty much anytime we weren’t at the beach!

I grew up with mosquitoes like this and am so grateful my current home has almost none - they’re oppressive and can make you feel like you’re losing your mind very quickly. Our tent was a mosquito-free zone, though, and we got a reprieve when we took short drives into La Pointe for ice cream. The campfire and citronella candle (and Deep Woods Off - hello DEET) helped in the evenings too. If you ever plan to visit Madeline Island (or anywhere in Northern WI with woods), be prepared for the bugs! Going into the trip knowing how bad they were was really helpful for preparations and expectations. My dad and sister both still live in the area and let me know it has been an especially bad year.
