I want to knit blankets, throw the ball for my dog, walk languidly by the sea, fill the house with the smell of fresh bread

I want to write late at night, watch sunrises and sunsets and chase children in the grass whilst they giggle from the thrill

Having a family is hard but this is why we do it

Work is important but never more important than this

This is what being a mother has afforded me and for that I’m so very grateful

People I love and time to spend with them 🤍
