In all my bouncing around projects, I returned to a piece I had forgotten about. Originally it was something my cosmic horror MC witnessed, but now the entire swathe of time has been cut into backstory. I started rewriting the scene in first person. I had been worried about losing detail or context, but looking at it now, it’s better for it.
