I've always loved sunflowers because they turn toward the light, even in harsh and hot conditions (I even got a tattoo on my foot of a sunflower blossom to represent the same.) Today I learned more about the seed patterns (re: the Fibonacci sequence.) I didn't grow up in a controlling environment, in fact more the opposite. But I, too, took on both guilt and shame.
