It’s been a really painful January for Americans.

I often struggle to write about current events (I prefer to write about the past, when I’ve had more time to process what happened and what it all meant).

But it feels important for everyone to raise their voice in whatever way they can right now.

It is scary and overwhelming, but there is still hope. And more importantly, there is work to be done.
