Make money doing the work you believe in

Last night I dreamt about people on Substack I have never met in person. I am convinced this happened because after a long day of work, I had a virtual meeting with The M&A Hunter for his Substack 6th monthsary, while helping Debra Douglas with her up coming post, then i stayed up talking with Wealth GPS about The Financial Pen and how much we both miss him, and somewhere after a painkiller and what should have been bedtime, i ended up in a silly comment thread with jojofinance that kept me laughing, spat my water out, the painkiller nearly went with it, and stayed up for two extra hours.

The short version, but you can read the full conversation below:

I called him the coolest lady in orange and black, because that is what he was convinced he was in the picture, and it matched his profile picture. In reality he is a dude. With a yellow and black profile. He did not mind.

This is what Substack does. You show up with your credentials and your frameworks and your citation lists, and then it is midnight and you are arguing about whether someone's profile picture is orange or yellow and nothing else matters.

Not our proudest moment but genuinely one of my favorite nights on here.

Now let's blame all of this on The M&A Hunter for starting it with that picture. I am the red lady at the front. And no, that is not my face. But I am completely happy with it. Thank you to everyone who helped in the making of this picture. You are all awesome.

Substack is a fun place. So much knowledge but also so much play. The m&a band. Ladies and gents….
