I’m not sure what these “best novels” lists are for. Maybe for people who never picked up a book in their life to start somewhere?

Is it agenda setting?

Is it lack of news material for the paper?

But I think, if 174 people can create a random list with such certainty, each of us can have our own “best novels” list. What’s yours?
