Inside some of the derelict buildings on Orford Ness on England’s Suffolk coast.
Orford Ness was a experimental test site where bombs and associated technologies were developed and tested including non-nuclear components of nuclear weapons. The military stopped using it in 1987 and it was handed over the National Trust in 1993 as a reserve. The buildings are closed to the public but I was able to join a photography tour in 2016.
It’s a fantastic place with a very rich and secret history.
