This is my family’s favorite pie recipe! An apricot glaze makes this traditional apple pie a fun and unique treat.

Ingredients:

  • Pie crust

  • 7 large apples

  • ½ c water

  • ½ c + 1 tbsp sugar

  • 5 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 2 small apples

  • ¼ c apricot jam

  • 1 tbsp hot water

Notes:

  1. Drain the apples after boiling. I forgot to mention this in the video!

  2. 400 F for 35 minutes.

  3. I double my apricot glaze!
