Another unbearable loss.

We have lost yet another baby to Israel’s crimes against humanity—and to the inhumane inaction of the world.

Zainab Abu Haleeb, just 6 months old, has died of malnutrition.

In the photos I shared of her earlier, Zainab looked healthy and full of life. But she couldn’t breastfeed and needed formula—something her family couldn’t find under siege. Her uncle shared this heartbreaking detail in a Facebook post a few minutes ago.

Zainab was not born ill. She was not a child with a “genetic defect,” as some monsters cruelly claim about the babies in Gaza who die of starvation.

The real defect—the only genetic problem here—is in the minds and hearts of those who justify this genocide and those who remain silent in the face of it.
