A few moments of joy for you today, from my pond last year.

This is what you've got to look forward to if you follow my frogspawn journey this year.

Yes, that is a plastic lily pad and flower.

No, I make no apology for it.

Yes, there is a frog meditating on it, with another queuing up at the edge of the pond for his turn.

I like to provide entertainment for my frog mates. I think of this lily pad as a kind of fairground teacup ride.

This little bloke used to sit in it most days. Unless it was actually several different frogs taking turns, in which case I respect their commitment to chill-out time.

Either way, it was perfectly normal in my garden to see a frog quietly spinning round the pond, planning world domination.
