I've basically gone all BBC Springwatch but with marginally better jokes.
And using a very complex underwater camera filming set up (putting my mobile phone in a glass vase and praying to all the gods and saints I didn't drop it) I managed to film one of the clumps of frogspawn.
There's definitely weather damage due to the drop in temperature we had last week but there are still tadpoles forming.
No signs of my fish who was voting with his feet/fins and hiding.
And all the frogs have cleared off until the weather warms.
(Just as an aside, my highly aggressive phone keeps autocorrecting “frogs” to either “drugs” or “frigs” depending on the sentence and I genuinely don't know what to do with that level of autocorrect emotional violence in my phone system.)
Anyhow, I hope this is relaxing/enjoyable to watch.
It's a very first effort.
I'm no Jacques Cousteau.
But I am slightly pleased with my vase/phone rig that managed to catch this exciting (not at all dull with nothing really happening) footage.
More updates next week.
