Seattle — King County prosecutors have charged 33 far-left extremists over the occupation and attack on an engineering building at @UW in May 2025, resulting in a fire and destruction. The suspects are only charged with misdemeanor trespassing and thus will likely face little to no consequences. There were no cameras inside the building.

The attack, which involved Antifa and pro-Gaza extremists, did a million dollars' worth of damage to research equipment and university property. UW treated the far-left attack as a non-issue.
