I just sent the following to another artist asking if XP pen is any good. Figured someone here would appreciate this info too:
“I’ve been using my XP Pen (Artist Pro 19 Gen2) for over a year. For the last 18 years I’ve used Wacom Cintiqs (I had two) and thought I’d never use anything else.
I got an XP Pen because they wanted me to do influencer ads for it. They paid really well and gave me a free tablet. I thought I’d use it for the videos then go back to using my Wacom. But when I opened it up I was really impressed with the build quality.
I’ve tried huion about 6 years ago and it was garbage, but this XP Pen felt more like a nice piece of equipment. So I decided I’d try it for a month before switching back to Wacom.
After 6 month I didn’t touch my Wacom so I just put it in storage. Then in May I sold my Wacom on eBay. Never going back. The XP Pen is that good.
I later found out that XP Pen hired a bunch of engineers from Wacom who wanted to make something better and more affordable. So that explains why it’s so good. I should make a YouTube video about it.“
