I keep reading about ‘new’ studies which seem to be set up to disprove what we already know. They appear cynical to me: researchers are incentivised to publish, not to make their work useful. Intellectual clickbait is still clickbait.
We already know what works, from memory building to instructional design. If we never read another research paper published since 2020, but simply implemented what we know works, our students and teachers could be exceptional.
