If you don’t sit the AQA English language paper as a paying customer, you have no idea of the horror show of AQA marking. You’ll come up with all sorts of reasons for poor grades, but none of them will be - the whole process is just rotten to the core. If you did find this out, you’d ask yourself how you could teach your students so that the examiner did not treat their grades like a bet on a coin toss.
