๐ Autumn sunshine, Salisbury Plain, and a slow dog walk through golden fields โ today felt like the kind of calm that only comes after chaos. The sort of quiet you earn.
Post-trauma life has its rhythms now: steady, grounded, grateful. Maya snuffling in the hedgerows, the horizon wide and forgiving. These walks remind me that healing isnโt dramatic โ itโs made of small, repetitive acts of being alive.
Later, I will close the day with something beautifully ordinary: a hair appointment. The midlife maintenance ritual. Trying to navigate ageing with dignity and decorum โ and, crucially, without over-plumping.
One laughter line, one wrinkle, one walk at a time.
