I reme.ber thinking this promotion had some relationship to the "mac" in "mac and me". I think the movie did have a McDonald's tie-in but I thought they were the same character. I imagined the child hiding giant moon face guy in his bedroom like E.T. (Never saw the film. I do not regret this.)
