“Project 2025” is another example of how current partisan conflict gets totally divorced from reality. Dems are hyping this thing as a blueprint for apocalyptic totalitarianism, but it’s actually an entrenchment of their vaunted “bipartisan consensus” on core issues over which the President has the most power, namely Foreign Policy and National Security. Meanwhile, self-styled “anti-establishment” right-wing types are hyping it as so “based,” because they too have no interest in actually curtailing the “Deep State,” which the prescriptions in the document call for further empowering, in order to “confront” Russia, China, Iran, and all the standard Official Enemies. The whole debate over this thing is a farce. As usual.
