I treat my Substack the same way I treat any classroom or space that I teach in. I do not measure “engagement.” How people engage material is a profoundly intricate and personal thing. I can’t possibly know how much my words mean or don’t mean. And I refuse to only measure by likes or comments. This allows for freedom.
