Every few months someone proudly announces they “don’t believe in astrology,” as if they’ve just outsmarted a pyramid scheme. That’s fine. But astrology doesn’t require belief. It’s not a cult, it’s a pattern language, one that evolved across thousands of years, transmitted mind to mind, culture to culture, refined by observation and story until it became a shared map of human experience.
You don’t “believe” in language either. You use it. You recognize that words carry meaning because generations before you agreed that they did. Astrology works the same way. It’s a symbolic grammar for cycles, moods, and archetypes, an ancient code that has survived every empire, translation, and reform because it keeps describing something that’s still true.
So the next time someone rolls their eyes and says they don’t believe in astrology, just smile. Language doesn’t need their belief to keep speaking.
