The pbs Ken burns Don Henley, special on Thoreau and Walden is really interesting. I broke out Walden last night. When I was young I really fell in love with the transcendentalist, and it probably is something that attracts young people. He addresses his privelege right off, which I had forgotten, he was at least that self aware.
I drive by and through Walden a lot so feel a special connection to it, though I have never stopped to visit. I should plan a date with myself sometime when they are done the work that is going on by the pond now.
The Concord Female Anti-Slavery Society sounds like a group of bad ass women.
