Hey kids, we have an Ebola outbreak that is quite serious. In case you are not following that fun, here is a link.
Let me add a few things here. Here is the first.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern regarding an ongoing outbreak of the Bundibugyo ebolavirus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The crisis—centered largely in the conflict-ridden Ituri and North Kivu provinces—is heavily complicated by regional civil unrest.
Oh but there is more…
Russia’s Africa Corp, replacing Wagner, is active in the DRC.
in 2014, the largest outbreak, there was some civil unrest, which did complicate matters. Now, by accident, or design, a Russian could bring the fun to Russia, which I am sure lacks the full isolation suites we used in 2014 to contain it. And by we I mean the NHS, the US facility and the Germans, why the US casualty was evacuated to Germany overnight. Just things that make you go hmmm.
I need to take Junior to the vet for an ear checkup, but that might be the story with some worse case.
Also, this variant is not responsive to the vaccine. This is what we in OSINT kind of do. This is what we call an emerging threat. Does this mean go nuts and go get the last roll of toilet paper? No…but keep an eye on this.
