The app for independent voices

Stumbled upon this picture from 14 years ago, back when we were college kids. A very small moment, frozen in time.

Our brains permanently alter a memory every time they retrieve it from some long-forgotten corner. So much so that, after a point, the memory almost melts into an indistinct whole. What remains are feelings, buried deep within us.

Photographs unearth those feelings, even when there’s no clear memory left to attach them to. Just a fragment of time. Just a montage of blurry reflections. Incomprehensible.

Perhaps that’s all nostalgia is, feelings gone astray, searching for a home.
