Knole in Kent is home to this pair of sixteenth-century iron and steel andirons that feature the royal arms of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn’s falcon badge in brass beneath a steel coronet. They’re also decorated with a pair of figures representing Adam and Eve. Interestingly, they were at Hever Castle in the 19th century, before being moved to Knole. The National Trust notes that they were almost certainly made by the royal locksmith Henry Romayne.
