Dermatologist approved - derms can be paid to give their opinions and are just as falliable as people in other professions when it comes to giving an opinion on skincare products. This label has lost its value.
Clean or non toxic - the idea of ‘clean’ beauty is simply a vehicle to sell skincare, it has no scientific basis and it isn’t a regulated term
Non comedogenic - no test can determine whether or not something will clog your pores. Maybe in 100 years but not now.
So how do we determine what is and isn’t effective other than spending money on trying a product? My current favourite solution is reddit, which you’re missing out on if you’re not using. Comment for REDDIT for my exact process.
