Lessons I’ve learned from growing my TikTok to just under 1 million in 3.5 years:

  1. Growth isn’t linear, even if you have decent growth on average. It’s essential you keep going during the slow periods to be able to enjoy the highs.

  2. The bigger you grow, the harder it is to stop comparing. People look at me as someone who has grown quickly, but if I’m honest, I’m usually batting away thoughts about someone I’ve identified as growing faster than me.

  3. You only fail if you stop trying.

  4. You don’t know what you don’t know. Possibly my favourite part of being a creator - the more you keep posting, the more people see you = the more opportunities cross your path.

  5. The bigger the creator economy grows, the more competitive it is. I don’t believe in shadow banning, I believe you need to always stay competitive to keep being seen

  6. The hardest part of being a creator is the mental element
