The TED Triangle is a model of functional interpersonal dynamics composed of three roles: the Creator (characterized by agency and the declaration "I can"), the Challenger (who provides feedback and pushback to test the Creator's thinking), and the Coach (who offers support and guidance without enabling). These roles are fluid and complementary, designed to reinforce growth, responsibility, and alignment with objective reality. The Creator owns their circumstances and shapes their reality; the Challenger questions and tests; and the Coach provides perspective and encouragement without rescue.
The TED Triangle aspires to be a system of mutual elevation, but in current reality, Challengers often operate from Drama Triangle roles rather than logos—challenging from ego, resentment, or hidden agendas. This requires the Creator to exercise discernment, distinguishing between challenges rooted in truth and those rooted in drama. As individuals internalize Logocentric principles and strengthen their own identity, the TED Triangle becomes increasingly trustworthy.
