The German Barbarian

I painted this for a dear friend of mine; it’s his birthday present. He is proud of of German heritage, as well as his love of the whole “barbarian” persona & attributes thereof, thus I combined the two to create the ultimate portrait.

Inspired by Frank Frazetta’s Barbarian series.

I painted this illustration in 3 days - a new record. Considering it normally takes me about 1-3 months to paint something.
