New Interview: Munich 2026, NATO Integration, Colonialism, and the "Bunker State"
I recently had the great pleasure of joining Pascal Lottaz on his channel, Neutrality Studies.
We used the Munich Security Conference 2026 as a window to discuss whether we are seeing a transatlantic break or a tighter lockstep. We also took a dive into my framework of the "Bunker State" describing the structural shift from public welfare planning to permanent securitization in the West. And we looked at more historical topics and how relevant they are for today’s fast changing situations (vis-a-vis feudalism, capitalism, and colonialism).
If you are interested in the mechanics of elite cohesion, burden-shifting, and modern non-kinetic warfare, you can watch the full conversation here:
For those short on time, here are a few key timestamps:
01:33 - The Bunker State framework
09:04 - Open burden shifting and integration
24:34 - Feudalism to capitalism
48:04 - Iran and non-kinetic warfare tools
