Make money doing the work you believe in

Part of the problem of buying a Japanese motor in the U.S. is that it can be addictive. You might start out purchasing a Kawasaki jet ski at your local outdoors store, only to return days later for asking something harder. The sales clerk will say, “Sir, we sell jet skis.” So you leave the store and cross the street to the nearby Mitsubishi dealership, and ask for the heaviest motor they can find. They recommend an SUV, of course, like the Outlander PHEV, because it has a not-so-light hybrid battery. But then you return a few weeks later, asking for something heavier. “Give me the heaviest excavator you’ve got.” The car salesman says, “Sir, we sell cars, not construction equipment.” So you cross the field behind the strip mall and walk into a Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries authorized international dealer, where you find marine diesel engines, which you can use to sail to your heart’s content.
