I think there is an over celebration of failure to the point that there is almost complete disregard of consequences. If you have infinite funds to play with and you feel like experimentation, you can probably afford to do some bold stuff and not suffer material consequences of a failure. This is not true for most organizations or people.

Don’t be shamed into failing. It’s not all that it’s cracked up to be.
