My live takes as I was watching Meta’s Connect event unveiling a whole line of AR and AI glasses.
“I'm watching the Meta Connect keynote. Rough start all around. I have to hand it to the Meta team, brave to do a live demo of Live AI. Reliability matters.
That being said:
💥 Mark Z claims double the battery life for the RayBan Meta, which is pretty impressive. That means up to 8-hours depending.
💥 Oakley Meta Vanguard touts really long battery life (at least 2 marathons), and a single wide-angle 3K camera with image stabilization.
💥 Mark unveils the RayBan Meta Display, the first AI glasses with a display capable of 5000 Nits of brightness. Neural interface that goes on your wrist with 18-hours of battery life. $799 available Sept 30. No details on battery life or if this is a standalone device. I'm sure it uses a smartphone app. I can't imagine they got rid of the puck of the larger Orion experimental glasses. If they did, I would be surprised.
