Alibaba Shows China May Be the Next Frontier for Nvidia and AMD

“Alibaba, the Chinese online retail and cloud computing giant, has emerged as on of China’s leaders this year, China’s fast-growing artificial intelligence sector may be readying for major purchases of U.S. chips, creating opportunities—and competition—for the likes of Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices.

The geopolitics put the assurance of any realized prospects at risk. The U.S. has taken the thorny action of announcing a $11 billion arms package for Taiwan.

It’s likely that the Chinese government will take issue with Chinese firms abetting the U.S. AI industry and Taiwan’s AI and chip economy, which increasingly are perceived as in the midst of an AI bubble.
