Here are my thoughts on the Figma Config 2024 announcements:

The new Figma UI announcement left me feeling unimpressed. Personally, I don't have any issues with the current UI, so this announcement didn't excite me.

On the other hand, the Dev mode improvements announcement was great. Improving designer/developer collaboration and integrating better with design systems is always a positive step.

As for the AI integrations, I am cautiously optimistic. Fully generated designs can be hit or miss, but I'm excited about features like generating content, renaming layers, and creating prototypes. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this and testing it out thoroughly.

Lastly, I'm excited about Flides, as I can't wait to create full presentations in Figma. I've never been a fan of Google Slides or PowerPoint, so this is a welcome addition.
