Hey Paul Walker I can’t reply to any note that has a picture or article link in it. Been over a month that way. But about NPCs in our games. I read that article. I’m not sure about it. I always use the Mythic GME charts for characters. There are 5 or 6 of them that give me a baseline, but then I use the fate chart and ask a lot of questions.

Having said that, while I do think there might be some value in this other approach, the idea that people learn in these different ways is pseudoscience. The most that scientists will agree on is that people have preferences about how they learn. Of course, in a fantasy world, all bets are off. You can look at the ears on elves and think that they might prefer the auditory while the red eyes of goblins might lead you to believe they prefer the visual.

I will say that because of my aphantasia, I have a very strong preference towards auditory presentations. I’m not aware that it translates into how I talk or not. I really have never noticed people expressing their preferences in this way, which could just mean I haven’t been listening for it.
